Annual White Christmas Celebration & Community Leadership Award

Annual white Christmas Celebration is a free family event which brings families from different backgrounds, culture and from different Scotland communities together to celebrate Christmas. It is also used to celebrate our partners and sponsors, volunteers and communities who work with us to achieve our goals. It also used to recognise and present awards to women, youths and children who have demonstrated good citizenship behaviours by contributing towards community development. Thus it fosters friendship, cultural and community integration. Children get in free and are entertained by various community artists and performers and get free presents from Santa.

Young leaders Forum

Young leader’s forum is run twice a year by Brighter Futures Youth Foundation to equip youths with leadership and social responsibility skills. The forum also supports the youths in their personal development journey through personal development motivational talks and exercises designed to improve their confidence and support them with advocating for issues that concern them. The forum offers the participating youths a platform to identify and discuss contemporary social issues which affect them and lends them a voice in providing solutions to those issues. A clear understanding of the issues which affects these youths will help in creating solutions to the issues by communicating these issues to the appropriate authorities for resolution especially those involved in making government policies. The young leader’s forum also helps to ensure full integration of the youths in their various communities by encouraging them to engage with and become more involved in various communities development activities.
